ExplorationMarathon holds interests in more than 2,800 square kilometers offshore Norway. The Company will be drilling several exploration wells in the coming years. Marathon plans to drill a well in PL 340 to explore offset structures to the Marihøne discovery with the drilling rig Songa Dee in fourth quarter 2010.
Late in fourth quarter 2010, Marathon plans to drill a well in PL 505 with the Transocean Winner. This well will not reach total depth until some time in 2011. |
